Platitude. I like that word. I like that word a lot .

I appreciate realists. A collaboration of realists and creatives. It makes me smile. If I can lead a team of realists and creatives, I will be happy.

People might say my idea isn’t practical based on the past and present.

I appreciate independent people. I appreciate Introverts. I appreciate Extroverts too. But they can get dependent on you. Even if it seems the other way, they don’t realize it that introverts don’t need more than a couple of close companionships.

I used to give away my work and my credits. Not anymore. That may be “real business” today, but not in ten years. The world is moving quick. A bureaucratic system just doesn’t last. Even if you don’t like it, Plan B is the new game.

They embrace solitude. Introverted leaders are energized by spending time alone. They suffer from people exhaustion and need to retreat to recharge their batteries frequently. These regular timeouts actually fuel their thinking, creativity and decision-making and, when the pressure is on, help them be responsive, not reactive. When introverts honor that inner pull, they can do their best work. In managing interruptions, they also manage people’s expectations. When asked to respond to requests or ideas, Martin Schmidler, a vice president at a national food service organization, often tells his team that he needs time to absorb what’s being asked or presented. He’s clear on how and when he’ll get back to people, and he consistently follows through on his commitments. This clarity and consistency helps him build trust with his team.”

In fact, the most powerful person in the room is often the most quiet. ” - Jennifer B. Kahnweiler

“At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don’t keep other people out; they fence you in. Life is messy. That’s how we’re made. So, you can waste your life drawing lines or you can live your life crossing them. But there are some lines that are way too dangerous to cross. Here’s what I know: if you’re willing to take the chance, the view from the other side is spectacular.”
